Bouquets & Bumblebees

Hi, everyone!

A couple weeks ago, I got to do something I've wanted to do for a long time. I got to buy myself flowers from the farmer's market! Have you ever read this quote that says, "So plant your own gardens and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers"? I love that saying. I read it for the first time a few years ago, and as soon as I read it, I wanted to buy myself flowers. I always figured I would do it someday, but I never actually planned it out. The day finally came though! Check it out.:)

I really enjoyed having the flowers sit on my desk for the week. They really brightened up my room and added some fun color. I got sad once they started to wilt, but I'm also excited to go back soon and buy some more!

P.S. Have you ever wanted to buy yourself flowers?

May the Force Be with You - Comfy Cardigan and a Ton of Fandom

Hi everyone, Emma here!:)
This morning, I looked at both of our outfits and told her that we should take pictures, since we both are wearing something I consider pretty cute.;)
Here is my outfit, which consists of a black cardigan, a "May the force be with you" shirt, light jeans, and black boots.
(Which I totally feel look like pirate boots...just putting that out there.XD)
All I need is a light saber and I am Star Wars ready!;)
My cardigan is actually my sister's cardigan. It's one of the things I borrow most from her closet.;D

Kendra told me to look off dramatically, so I did.XD
My shirt is from Kohls and, oddly enough, it's a pajama shirt! I wear it as both a pajama shirt (it goes great with my fluffy Star Wars pajama pants) and a normal shirt.;)

Which "Fandoms" are you a part of?:)

Good Friday Outfit: Blue Top and Floral Trumpet Skirt

Hey, everybody! Today I wanted to show you this outfit that I put together for the Good Friday service at my church this year. Yes, it was a while ago, but I thought I would still share this outfit idea with you.;)

Please excuse the poor photo quality of this first shot.:P

As a general rule, I try to wear jewelry and accessories that are all the same color metal, but this time I had a tricky time keeping the color scheme of my accessories in gold. The buttons on my shirt are silver, but the buckle on my belt is gold! I solved the problem by psyching myself out. I wore a gold necklace that distracted from the silver buttons, and made everything look cohesive. Mixing metals is totally acceptable by the way, but I just didn't want to play with that look at the time.

So what do you think of this look? Would you wear it?

Our Runway Post- Stars and Sparkle

Originally from Our Runway- February 3, 2014

Happy Monday!
Yesterday I wore my star sweater that I got for Christmas, my favorite boots, and a pair of pants that my mom found from last Christmas hiding somewhere. I guess they were too big last year, but now, they fit great! They are such cute pants and are super versatile.

I hope everyone has a great night.

Summertime Inspiration from a Tank Top

Today while I was out shopping at Kohls, I found this cute blue-striped tank top. I saw this hanging on the rack, and was my imagination was immediately sparked. This blouse made me think of summer, and what summer is about for so many people. Summer is about freedom- in so many ways. We celebrate Independence day in the summer, and we revel in our freedom and time off from school. And this is what I was feeling when I saw this shirt. This is an fun, carefree top that you can easily wear with your favorite pair of jeans or shorts. And, there's an unexpected twist to this shirt!

As you can see, I meant what I said about an unexpected twist. Hehe... The back of this shirt has a quirky back that I found unexpected. This tank top is available at Kohls, and is from the Jennifer Lopez line. If you like this tank top as much as I do, then click through the pictures to be taken to the web page. There are other colors available too, if you don't particularly like this color. Do you have a tank top that you absolutely love in your closet?

Red Lips and Converse

Hey everyone!:) Today I went with my mom and sister to my grandma's house. My mom works at my grandma's house, and on Wednesdays and Fridays, Emma and I go with my mom. We ran some errands and went out to lunch at Marie Callender's. This is how I dress most of the time- a cute top, jeans, and my Converse.:) I'm a big fan of Converse; whenever I need a new pair of sneakers, they are my go-to choice. If you need a new pair of sneakers, why not try some colored Converse? They're going to be a big trend this spring.

You know what else is a trend this spring? Athletic shoes. Like the shoes that you would normally wear to the gym! They're being worn with everything from dresses to jeans. I'm planning to skip out on this trend, but I actually have seen some cute athletic shoe outfits. I think the outfits looked cute because the shoes weren't the white kind of gym shoes with the grey details- more like a black shoe with colorful details. What do you think about this trend? If you like the trend, then have at it! If you want some help with the styling, leave a comment below and I'll make a post for you!:) Or if you have any fashion question, comment below or drop me a line via email (my email is on my Google profile) and I'll get back to you!:) Thanks for reading!

Christmas Present- Sneaker Wedges

This Christmas, one of the gifts I received was a pair of sneaker wedges! I've wanted some since the moment I laid eyes on them. The ones I got are from the Princess Vera Wang line at Kohls.
If you have a pair of sneaker wedges but have no idea what to wear with them, I would suggest skinny jeans, leggings or tights (with a skirt or long shirt), girly skirts (the sporty contrast of the shoes is cool), and even with a pair of capri-length, slouchy sweatpants.

Cute Finds!

Hey guys! I'm going to give you some cute ideas for the cold weather that will hopefully inspire you! All of these adorable peices came from Kohls.com.

This sweater is adorable and easy to wear- pair with black skinny jeans, yellow bag, and navy/black knee-high boots.

This knit sweater would look daring and bold paired with gray jeans, red converse, and a yellow bag.

This classic item would be perfect with white skinny jeans, a purple bag, and black ankle boots.

Simple sweater, but the easiest piece of your closet to style, pair with white skinny jeans, sparkly flats, and a yellow purse.

There are so many other designs for this shirt at Kohls like houndstooth, skulls, polka dots, stars, and hearts.

This long sweater coat looks great with denim skinny jeans, a pair of wedges, and a yellow purse.

This sweater is super preppy which I love. All you need to do is add with denim jeans and converse.

This sweater is very comfy and you can pair with ANYTHING!

I hope you have a great night! Stay tuned for tomorrow- when I return from my shopping trip!

Found- Adorable, Affordable Ankle Boots!

Hello everyone!:) Kendra here! I found these cute cowboy inspired boots at Kohls the other day. They're taking on two different trends for this Fall, ankle and cowboy boots. Bonus: they're only $19.99!!!

They come in three colors- the brown shown here, black, and a camel/carmel color. These would be a fabulous addition to your closet, because they would go with everything!

Pair them with leggings, an over-sized sweater, add a scarf and a bag, and you have a terrific on-the-go outfit! Or, wear them with skinny jeans(tucked in) and a blazer and you look super chic.;)
