About Us

~ Our Story ~
We are a pair of sisters who love each other and love life. Kendra started this blog in 2012 under the name "Uniquely You." Emma joined and contributed some posts shortly thereafter. "Uniquely You" continued to evolve over the years, with most of our posts focusing on fashion tips and outfit ideas. In late 2013, we stopped posting on "Uniquely You" for a while to make a new blog called "Our Runway" in an attempt to gain a fresh start in the blogging world. We returned to "Uniquely You" in May of 2014 and continued to post sporadically for two more years. In the summer of 2016, we redefined our focus and decided to highlight our relationship with each other. With this new direction came a new name -- "Cookie Crumbles & Moondust."

~ The Story Behind Our Name ~
It took us a while to come up with a name that we both felt strongly about. We wanted it to say something about our sisterhood, while remaining true to our unique individuality. We actually started out by writing down words that we felt described us and pinning them in different arrangements on a bulletin board. We came up with a few ideas, but nothing we both truly loved. Kendra then remembered reading something on Pinterest called "The Ingredients of Each MBTI Type." If you don't know what MBTI is, it's basically an in-depth personality test. When we looked up the "ingredients" that compose our two MBTI types, we found that they were the perfect words to describe each of us. We combined each of our favorite "ingredients" into our new blog name --
"Cookie Crumbles & Moondust."

The Cookie Crumbles

Hi everyone! I'm Emma, a pink-loving fifteen year old Christian who is in love with so many fandoms that she can't keep track of them all. Some of my fandoms include the following: Star Wars (I am a Sith, fear me!!!XD), Frozen, Pinterest (is that a fandom? I don't know XD), Studio C, Wicked, Tangled, Kylo Ren, Ahsoka Tano, and Sherlock. I'm a huge reader -Keeper of the Lost Cities happens to be my favorite book series of all time- as well as a big writer. I hope to be a published author one day, but my main career goal is to be a Disney animator. I love being active, learning new languages (especially German), hiking, acting and singing, watching movies, photography, eating dessert, blogging, hermitting, and helping people out.:)
Aaaand...that's all I can think of at the moment!;) I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a bit more.

The Moondust

Hi, everyone! My name is Kendra, I'm a twenty year-old college student and a proud ginger. I'm a deep thinker, a dreamer, and a bibliophile. Currently I'm in my second year of community college with a major in Liberal Studies. I'm still figuring out who I am and what I want to do with my life, but I have faith that God will direct my steps. I'm a young Christian woman who has many interests, like playing the piano, writing, hiking, visiting new places, and learning new things. I have a long list of things I love; some of those things including Disney, Nancy Drew, Star Wars, music, movies, fashion, puzzles, and the color purple.

I hope that you will read more about us on our blog! If you have anything in common with us, leave a comment below. We'd love to hear from you!

  1. I have to say, you girls gave me a little panic moment when I looked up Uniquely You and Blogger said it didn't exist anymore...! Haha! Then, like any good detective, I went on Kendra's Pinterest and saw the link in your little info thing, and found this blog! LOL, Deep sigh of relief over here!

    1. We both listen to lots of different kinds of music, but some of our tastes overlap. We enjoy pop, some rock, and showtunes, but there are some genres or artists that one of us enjoys that the other doesn't.:)
