Floral and Flecks: Pattern Mixing and Layering Techniques

Hello, everybody!
So, if you have watched our very first video, you got to experience a sneak peek of what this post would hold. So, here it is -- my outfit that involves layering and mixed prints!

So, if you're confused by how I achieved this layered look, I started with a white camisole, wore a fringed navy tank top over the camisole, and then finished by wearing a floral crop top on top of that! This is a fun outfit to wear in the spring, thanks to the short sleeves and floral print. And it's also a great way to wear a crop top without exposing your stomach!

Also, if you want to know a secret to pulling off mixed prints, I would recommend you start by wearing two prints that are similar in color scheme, but different in scale. For example, in my outfit I wore two patterns that are similar in color (blue), but the floral pattern is larger in scale than the flecked pattern of the fringed top. And if you aren't too sure about your finished look, you can always add a basic piece in a neutral color to help balance your outfit out. Or, take a picture and send it to my email at uniquelyyou4ever@gmail.com! I'd be happy to give you some guidance! :)

So, will you try pattern mixing?

Ta-Da! Our Official YouTube Page Is Up!

Woohoo! So... I'm super excited because I just put up our official YouTube channel! We currently have one video for your viewing pleasure, which I have uploaded below. If you can't view it here, just click this link, and it will take you directly to the video!

Now, our YouTube account is currently under construction, so it's a little rough around the edges presently, but I'm looking forward to customizing it. And I apologize for the poor video quality; it's our first video, so I didn't know how the quality would turn out. There will probably be some more videos like this in the future until I can find a better way of doing it.

As for the contents of this video, we are planning on posting our outfits in a few days at least, so keep an eye out for those! And we are also looking forward to doing our first Q&A video! Please leave questions for us to answer in the comments below, or shoot me an email at uniquelyyou4ever@gmail.com

Have a great day everybody!

Somewhat Scholarly - Burgundy Cardigan and Pearl Accessories

Hi everyone! Emma here!:)
I am here with an outfit I put together a while ago, but really liked.:)
It consists of my white button-up tank top, burgundy cardigan (that I've had forever and love!:)), jeans, converse (although my sister's oxfords might look really cute with this outfit...;D), and my pearl ring and pearl bracelet!:)

I kind of think that this outfit is sort of academic, since the cardigan is somewhat scholarly.;) I can't think of the exact word in my head right now. Bleah!;D
I hope you liked the outfit.:)

I'm a Happy Camper!

Hi, everybody!

Have you ever heard of Bruxie? It's this amazing restaurant that uses waffles in pretty much everything they serve. My favorite thing to eat there is the chicken and waffle sandwich. It's basically fried chicken and a bit of coleslaw inside of a big waffle that's folded in half, topped with syrup. It's so good -- a combination of sweet and spicy (due to the spices on the chicken). But anyways, we got to go to Bruxie a couple days ago, and I got to take my mind off of school for a little while to enjoy the afternoon there. Here is what I wore to Bruxie!

I really like wearing colored jeans, because they can add that extra "oomph" to a basic outfit. I also like pairing navy tops with red jeans, since I feel like a navy top worn with blue jeans can feel a bit too "blue" for me sometimes.

So, what do you think? Do you like colored jeans?

May the Force Be with You - Comfy Cardigan and a Ton of Fandom

Hi everyone, Emma here!:)
This morning, I looked at both of our outfits and told her that we should take pictures, since we both are wearing something I consider pretty cute.;)
Here is my outfit, which consists of a black cardigan, a "May the force be with you" shirt, light jeans, and black boots.
(Which I totally feel look like pirate boots...just putting that out there.XD)
All I need is a light saber and I am Star Wars ready!;)
My cardigan is actually my sister's cardigan. It's one of the things I borrow most from her closet.;D

Kendra told me to look off dramatically, so I did.XD
My shirt is from Kohls and, oddly enough, it's a pajama shirt! I wear it as both a pajama shirt (it goes great with my fluffy Star Wars pajama pants) and a normal shirt.;)

Which "Fandoms" are you a part of?:)

Wardrobe Staples: Chambray Shirt and Black Jeans

Hello, everybody!

There are some days when you just don't feel like putting a whole lot of effort into your outfit, which is when I recommend bringing out the basics. A chambray shirt and black jeans are an easy outfit that anyone can pull off, and you will look effortlessly stylish in it as well. For my day at school, I kept my look casual with a silver necklace, black flats, and natural hair.

If you don't have a chambray shirt and black jeans in your closet, I would definitely recommend that you go off in search of those pieces! They are very versatile and will serve you well in many seasons. If you want some outfit ideas for those pieces, look around on my blog or email me at uniquelyyou4ever@gmail.com for some fashion advice. I'd be more than happy to share my ideas with you!

Do you have a denim top and black jeans?
